The conservation of pieces is an unavoidable question in museums.
Countering the phenomena of degradation requires a first step: reliably
measuring the environmental conditions of the spaces where the works are
stored, exhibited and transported.
The NF EN 15757 standard provides essential conservation instructions
that must be precisely verified using measuring instruments whose reliability
is certified. Without forgetting the indoor air quality (IAQ) in establishments
open to the public, the main indicator of which is the CO 2 level.
Since people spend approximately 90% of their time indoors, indoor air
quality plays an important role in their overall health. The indoor air of our
homes, schools, offices and factories can be two or even five times more
polluted than the air outside.
Parameters to monitor Temperature (20°C to 23°C) Hygrometry (45Hr to 55%RH) CO 2 (800 to 1000 ppm) Light
These self-contained devices are easy to move
and install. They archive the storage, exhibition
and transport conditions of the parts while
remaining very discreet thanks to their small size,
and can alert if the setpoint is exceeded.
Loggers are particularly useful in meeting the
compliance requirements of certain insurance
companies. Their ultra-simple use is within the
reach of any user, and the measurements can be
retrieved in just a few clicks in figures or graphs.
In every corner of a building as close as possible
to the works, verification measurements require a
portable measuring instrument for light, CO2
levels, temperature and hygrometry, in order to
verify that good environmental conditions are
maintained.
Portable devices provide optimal mobility and
autonomy to manage indoor air parameters and
light intensity, in order to protect sensitive works
(degradation of colors, paints, wood, stones,
etc.).
Our fixed-station solutions are high-end
permanent measuring instruments, capable of
connecting to any type of environmental
monitoring system (computerized monitoring,
EMS supervision, technical building management,
etc.).
Used in the most demanding environments, our
transmitters offer rock-solid operating accuracy
and reliability for the four main parameters to be
checked in museums, and are often equipped
with interchangeable probes for choosing which
parameters to monitor.
COFRAC ISO 17025 accredited in temperature and
hygrometry, our internal laboratories also provide
calibration of luxmeters and CO2 meters.
Our teams travel to your establishments to
calibrate temperature and humidity instruments
on site.
